Purworejo District is a district in Central Java province. The capital on the city of Purworejo. The district borders the Wonosobo and Magelang District in the north, district Kulonprogo (Yogyakarta Province in the east), the Indian Ocean in the south, and the west Kebumen.

 Purworejo District was formed on 5 October 901 Masehi, it is shown in the inscription Kayu Ara Hiwang at Boro Wetan village, Banyuurip. Previously known as the Bagelen on prosperity time of the Mataram Kingdom. Currently Purworejo has 16 districts and 494 villages. And in the development history Purworejo known as a pioneer in the field of education and is known as the region that generate employment in the fields of education, agriculture and the military. In addition, Purworejo also known as a city that is rich in plantation products and farm. Such as the spices, coconut, and tobacco are the great plantation products in purworejo. There are also etawa breed goats that are generation from Etawa from India. Besides plantations and farms, purworejo also has considerable tourism among others Ketawang Beach, Keburuhan Beach, Jatimalang Beach, Curug Muncar, Curug Siklothok, Curug Silangit, and as well as natural caves such as Goa Seplawan. This tourist attractions visited by tourists both local and long distance calls, especially when the holiday or weekend. So, in general purworejo has three potential toincrease income, from plantations, farms, and tourism.

In the plantation field, purworejo produce many crops, and the most famous is the spices, coconut, and tobacco. Purworejo become one of the biggest spices producer in the province of Central Java. Purworejo produces spices such as cardamom, ginger, turmeric, ginger and others. But, the most biggest spices produced in purworejo is cardamom. Spice is not only used by Purworejo’s peoples but also used by peoples from outside purworejo, for example from Cilacap. The use of spices is equally both by small industry like as herbal carrying and big industries such as factories. Around 75 medicinal plants in Central Java rely on raw materials from the district such as: Jaya Guna, Serbuk Sari, Serbuk Manjur, and Cap Tawon Sapi. The makers or herbalist carrying and big industries such as medicinal plants usually buy spices from the garden owners directly or from traditional markets that are in the area Purworejo.

Tobacco is also a plantation commodities that have high sales value in Purworejo. The benefits of tobacco, purworejo can increase local income as well as national income, so that in 2008 and 2009 Purworejo got Revenue Sharing Fund Tobacco Excise. The largest tobacco producer in Purworejo are in Pituruh Subdistrict. The peoples of Pituruh become tobacco’s farmer. So in addition, tobacco to increasing income for local and state employment and also the additional results to local households Pituruh.

Besides spices and tobacco, Purworejo also has extensive coconut plantations and spread throughout the  Purworejo district. Coconuts is used for food, but the major used for coconut palm sugar and coconut oil. In making palm sugar and coconut oil, purworejo still use simple way. To make palm sugar, first should tap the sap of the coconut tree then cook it and form it.Whereas, to make coconut oil, just need cooking coconut essence into oil until lightly browned. In making palm sugar and coconut oil are still made ​​by the home industry which were then sold to the market when the palm sugar and coconut oil produced widely. Palm sugar and coconut oil Purworejo already exported to areas in Central Java province and even across the province.

Besides having a large plantation, purworejo also has a large farms as well. Purworejo have the typical farm animals, it is etawa breed goat that is a generation of  Etawa from india. Etawa breed goats and Etawa has many advantages, such as goat has a lot of meat because of the goats can reach the weight of 91 kilograms, and a day goats can produce as much as 3 liters of milk. But most of all, the goat is a superior goat so many people both local and long distance calls want to raising this goats, so the sales of etawa breed goats and Etawa of Purworejo out the area so high. Every year, thousands of goats sold out Purworejo, including East Java (Ponorogo, Kediri, Trenggalek), Sumatra (Bengkulu, Jambi), Riau and Kalimantan (Banjarmasin). Actually specialization for Etawa not only in the country, proven in 2005-2006 many Etawa exported to malaisia ​​to have been domesticated. Purworejo also a city that rich in tourism. Purworejo have a place of tourism such as beaches, waterfalls, and natural caves. Because of purworejo is a city that located on the south coast, so that Purworejo has many beaches and famous beaches include Ketawang beach, Keburuhan beach, and Jatimalang beach. The beaches are very crowded visited by tourists. But in addition to the tourist spots, the beaches of Purworejo also serve as iron sand mining. In a day, dozens of trucks can transport the iron sand from the beaches.

In conclusion, Purworejo has great potential to increase income, both from the plantation, farming, and tourism, because the results of the field is large enough. Maybe Purworejo should  improve the quality in their respective fields such as increasing crops spices, tobacco, and coconut and Etawa so the stream from outside also the higher and income areas also increased.

Oke,, yang pada bertanya-tanya kenapa gue tiba-tiba sholehah gini *tanpa hijab* karena eh karena, gue ada tugas MPK Agama Islam nih, tentang Ukhuwah Wathaniyah.. tepatnya Konflik Antar Umat Beragama Dapat Disebabkan Karena Lemahnya Ukhuwah Wathaniyah.

Ga tau ukhuwah wathaniyah? Ngaji dulu sonoh...!!!

Ukhuwah wathaniyah adalah persaudaraan berbasis pada rasa kebangsaan dan nasionalisme. Artinya, kita sebagai makhluk hidup tidak hanya mengedepankan bagaimana kita hidup sebagai umat islam namun juga sebagai umat nasional. Kita hidup juga perlu memikirkan kodrat kita sebagai umat baik yang seagama maupun yang berbeda agama, yang hidup dalam lingkungan satu kebangsaan dan harus menjunjung tinggi kerukunan hidup antar satu bangsa tersebut.

Kerukunan dalam ukhuwah wathaniyah yang utama dapat dilakukan dengan cara saling toleransi dan tengang rasa. Contohnya menghargai agama lain, karena di dalam suatu negara atau bangsa seperti negara Indonesia, ada bermacam-macam agama tidak hanya Islam. Selain itu juga bagaimana kita menghormati kesetaraan gender dan hak asasi manusia.

Ukhuwah wathaniyah memang hubungan persaudaraan yang berbasis rasa kebangsaan dan nasionalisme, namun untuk mewujudkannya harus diawali dengan ukhuwah yang paling kecil, dimulai dari ukhuwah keluarga, kemudian masyarakat, ukhuwah umat seagama dan berlainan agama, baru ukhuwah wathaniyah yang merupakan ukhuwah nasional.

Ukhuwah wathaniyah memiliki manfaat untuk menciptakan persatuan dan kesatuan. Persatuan dan kesatuan dalam Islam berlandaskan Al Qur’an surat Al Hujurat ayat 13 yang berbunyi:

 

Artinya: “ Hai manusia, sesungguhnya Kami menciptakan kamu dari seorang laki-laki dan seorang perempuan dan menjadikan kamu berbangsa-bangsa dan bersuku-suku supaya kamu saling kenal-mengenal. Sesungguhnya orang yang paling mulia di antara kamu di sisi Allah ialah orang yang paling taqwa di antara kamu. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui lagi Maha Mengenal.”

Dari ayat tersebut telah dijelaskan bahwa Allah menciptakan manusia berbeda-beda bangsa dan suku dengan harapan untuk saling mengenal dan menghargai satu sama lain demi terciptanya persatuan dan kesatuan. 

Persatuan dan kesatuan antar umat sebangsa perlu dijaga agar tidak terjadi perpecahan dalam bangsa tersebut seperti terjadi kerusuhan, perselisihan, permusuhan, gontok-gontokan, bahkan kehancuran bangsa itu sendiri. Oleh karena itu perlunya kita juga lebih mengedepankan kepentingan nasional dan bangsa daripada kepentingan suku, golongan maupun kelompok kita. Seperti sabda Rasul “Bukan golongan kita, orang yang membangga-banggakan kesukuan dan bukan golongan kita orang yang mati karena \membela, mempertahankan dan memperjuangkan kesukuan.”

Setidaknya kita harus menjaga dan berusaha mempertahankan kesatuan dan persatuan negara kita yang telah diperjuangkan oleh para pejuang-pejuang terdahulu. Jangan sampai kita hancur dan terpecah belah hanya karena lemahnya ukhuwah wathaniyah yang kita miliki. Berikut Al Qur’an surat Al Imran ayat 103, yang berbunyi:

Artinya: “Dan berpeganglah kamu semuanya kepada tali (agama) Allah, dan janganlah kamu bercerai berai, dan ingatlah akan ni'mat Allah kepadamu ketika kamu dahulu (masa Jahiliyah) bermusuh-musuhan, maka Allah mempersatukan hatimu, lalu menjadilah kamu karena ni'mat Allah, orang-orang yang bersaudara; dan kamu telah berada di tepi jurang neraka, lalu Allah menyelamatkan kamu dari padanya. Demikianlah Allah menerangkan ayat-ayat-Nya kepadamu, agar kamu mendapat petunjuk.”

Jadi, untuk mencapai menjadi bangsa yang makmur hendaknya kita dapat mewujudkan persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa dan meningkatkan ukhuwah wathaniyah.
